This miniature plaque is cast in fine bone china and hand painted to the dome with an image of Napoleon Bonaparte(1769-1821). As Napoleon I, he was Emperor of the French from 1804 until 1814, and again in 1815. In the Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars he won the large majority of his 60 major battles and seized control of most of continental Europe before his ultimate defeat in 1815 at the Battle of Waterloo. The plaque is mounted in a brass frame and felt backing taking the maximum dimensions to 100mm tall and 65mm wide. It is presented in a silk lined box.
