This elegant trinket box, cast in fine bone china, features on its lid a beautiful hand-painted rose. This is no ordinary rose, however, for it is the Queen Elizabeth II floribunda rose, created in the early 1950s and officially given its name on the day of The Queen’s coronation in June 1953. With its rich and abundant pink petals, it has been called ‘the best rose ever’.
The base of the trinket box is decorated with a leaf design in gold and mica, with a commemorative inscription on the underside, and each one is supplied in a hand-made, silk-lined gift box. Perfect either as a delightful addition to a dressing table or purely for display, the box is a limited edition of 63 pieces, in celebration of the years of The Queen’s reign.
