Standing 255mm high, this fine bone china cylinder vase is decorated with the beautiful pink petals of the Queen Elizabeth II rose. Developed in the early 1950s, this superb floribunda rose was officially named in honour of Her Majesty on Coronation Day in 1953, and has become one of the most famous and popular of all roses.
The vase is cast in fine bone china and the rose is painted entirely by hand. On the reverse of the vase is a hand-painted inscription giving the name of the rose and the event it commemorates. The vase stands on a hand-carved wooden plinth, crafted from oak, the most royal of woods, and featuring a relief design of oak leaves and acorns inspired by the heraldic emblems of the Royal Borough of Windsor.
The cylinder vase is a limited edition of just 25 pieces, and is supplied in a hand-made, silk-lined box.
