The artists and craftspeople of Bronte Porcelain are continuing a tradition of skill and excellence that has existed in Worcestershire for more than two-and-a-half centuries. While new technology has played its part, the essential skills involved in the creation of fine china – modelling, casting, firing, glazing and decorating – remain much as they were when ceramics production was first established in the County. There is no substitute for the delicate and painstaking hand skills of the ceramic artist. Here at Bronte we are proud to maintain these centuries-old skills. We would be delighted to welcome you to our studios to see them for yourself, but in the meantime you can find out more here about what is involved in the creation of each ceramic masterpiece.
