Little Sister

Little Sister was taken from an illustrated poem within the book''Little Ann'' by Kate Greenaway.The angelic child dressed in early 19th century dress complete with her floral basket and stiff brimmed straw hat has an aura of sweetness.

She is wearing a necklace of coral beads which were often given to children as a symbol of protectiveness. Beautifully hand painted and sculpted Little Sister is a reminder of an age long gone.
