A tribute to the legendary horse that made his name in Australia, together with the jockey most associated with him, Mick O'Brien up. Set into each long side of the plinth are panels depicting the finish of the 1890 Melbourne Cup race. The fine bone china panels are painted using sepia tones to emulate the photographs that inspired them.

Located into the front panel is a special fine bone china badge inspired by the Victoria Racing Clubs 1890-1891 members badge. It is decorated with pure gold and platinum.
