The Bronte Alice was purposely not made too sugary as her character is very tough and courageous.
She is not wearing the famous 'Alice band' in her hair as that only appears in ''Alice Through the Looking Glass''. In true Bronte style her little finger is sticking out and not clumsily sculpted into the hand, which would be easier to make.
Delicate hand painting particulary of the face and eyes ensures the look of a Victorian child. |
